An escape from the Milano Centrale to Lake Como isn’t such a bad itinerary for one day trip is it? Taking an average of 1 hour on the train to the Italian Countryside. Recommendation for station stops: Como Lago or Como S. Giovanni; the closest to the lakes, just 20-50 metres away. Of course you’re immediately greeted by the landscapes, colour popping residential houses and greenery. You’re fate takes you to left or right, but I’d recommend going right along the Riverside, it’s just common sense to see where all the other Tourists are going. So we arrived at 11:44am exploring the area and taking photos with the Huawei Mate S, which is incredible for photos! 13mega pixels, with sharpness even when zooming, accurate colour balances and saturation corrector to capture the amazing Architecture. Lake Como is a very communal area, mainly for the local residents, so you’ll have the local shops necessary, and it’s definitely not a shopping place to splash you’re cash. You can also experience boat trips, yacht rides & helicopter views. I’d recommend booking in advance and planning you’re trip if you have more than one day.

You’re never short of restaurants either, especially as you’re being lured in by the waiters. The checked green table clothes attracted us as food bloggers, easily the deciding factor for which restaurant to eat at. Lunch at Bargiuliani Restaurant and like many other restaurants, you’re never short of people watching of landscape sceneries of the City. The freshest seafood and home made Italian Spaghetti, Linguine, Pastas are a part of the culture here. The amount of people at a restaurant can also be you’re deciding factor, besides the menu, every restaurant is serving similar food. It’s a relaxing City to explore, by foot, bus and bicycle. Discovering new places is on everyone’s schedule, but keeping in mind an Italian Gelato will make you’re desert tastebuds and walking at same time more enjoyable. Burning off calories as you exercise and take in the scenery.

WHAT GOES UP MUST COME DOWN?
Take the Cable Wagon, as suggested by my reader as soon as I posted on Instagram. With no intention with my daily itinerary, besides walking and breathing in fresh natural air, we took the wagon from the City Como to Brunate which is the top of the mountain. It’s definitely worth the ride for only €5.50 return ticket, but it’s vital you’d check the timetable before having to hitch hike down to the bottom again. There is only one of these, so it can be a waiting game, so it’s vital to pick a good time to attend. The views from Panorama Su Como & Pissarottino are incredible, overlooking the City like google’s ariel view. You’re trekking through hilltops and long roads, passing by residential houses with certain pitstop points. There are several signs to direct you to the right places and the scenery is a breath taking experience. Make sure to wear comfortable footwear, it’s no fashion catwalk with the cobble pavements in you’re stilettos ladies.
